As part of the learning enquiry ‘When I Grow Up…’, children in Foundation have been exploring the many different job opportunities that could be available to them in the future. This week, Puffins and Penguins had the pleasure of welcoming Miss Sayce, a local Fitness Instructor.

Miss Sayce spoke to the children about her job and how she incorporates all our school values into her work. She engaged the children in physical activities and shared her passion for keeping fit and healthy. She recounted her own enjoyment of PE at school and discussed various active careers that might be available to the children in the future.

The children enthusiastically participated in creating a fitness routine that included star jumps, press-ups, and squats. Miss Sayce explained that exercise is not just about running and moving, but also includes balancing and stretching.

Thank you, Miss Sayce, for an inspiring, active, and informative session that perfectly aligns with our school aims ‘Love to Learn’ and ‘Ready for Work’. It is vital for children to have these real-life experiences to make connections between their current learning and how it will benefit them in the future. Learning to work with others and being responsible are just some of the transferable skills that will help them as they grow.
