Remembrance 11th November 2016
Years 5 & 6 Remembrance Assembly 2016
Today, years 5 & 6 led a Remembrance Assembly for the wider community of Preston Primary School. It was a very thought provoking assembly and fantastically delivered by the children. We would like to thank Mr Carpenter and Mr Apps for joining us and sharing some war poetry which really added to the tone of the assembly. Thank you to all who attended.
Here are some of the parents comments:
'Perfectly balanced; the children clearly understood the significance of the day, and the inclusion of parents from the armed services gave such a brilliant connection'
'Thank you for such a moving tribute – All the pupils were amazing. Our daughter has asked many questions at home and we have shared memories of family members involved in the 1st World War and the Vietnam War. Thank you.'
'A respectful, well organised and very moving presentation that showed maturity, and was excellent. Thank you all'.
Well done Eagles, Hawks and Kestrels
