Unit 3 have been enjoying completing fieldwork as part of their geography short enquiry over the past two weeks. On Tuesday, each class walked to local woodland, Scadson woods, where the children investigated their own enquiry question, such as ‘Which insects live in Scadson woods?’ or ‘Which leaves will we find in Scadson woods?’.  The children used a field guide to support them in finding evidence to support the answers to these questions. We then compared our findings to the same investigation that we did in our Woodland Camp at school. Everyone showed our school values well during the trip: they were respectful to the children in their group and took responsibility for keeping the iPads safe during the trip.
