Library Trips
Reading for Pleasure
This week, small groups of children visited a local library. They were given the opportunity to browse books, make recommendations to one another, and read for pleasure. The children also completed a reading bingo task. They were challenged to find a variety of books linked to different themes. For example, an adventure book, a book set in the future, and a mystery book.
The children found the visit inspiring and many of them are looking forward to returning to the local library with their family. Visiting a public library with your child is a great way to encourage a love of books and reading.
We encourage every child to sign up for a free library card. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore books. Click on the link for more information. https://www.torbaylibraries.org.uk/web/arena/join-thelibrary
