Whole School Art Day

Ocean Curriculum

On Friday, the children took part in a whole school trust-wide art day. This was focused on World Oceans Day, 8th June, and our Ocean Curriculum.  This special event aims to raise awareness about the importance of the conservation of our Oceans. As a coastal school, this is something we are particularly passionate about and highlights our school value of Responsibility.

Each child in each Unit created an individual piece of art based upon local artist Kim Vaudin who is passionate about Ocean conservation. The children’s efforts were so creative and unique.

Then, Art Curators were also taken from each Unit to collaborate on a larger scale piece that will be displayed in school.

David Attenborough has produced a message about World Oceans Day if you wish to share this at home. How proud we are of these future global art activists!
