Library Services Assembly
Yesterday, we were incredibly lucky to have Mel from the Library Services come in to deliver a wonderful assembly all about the importance of reading, and about the upcoming library reading challenge. We are thrilled to announce that Paignton, Torquay and Churston libraries will be running the Summer Reading Challenge. This exciting challenge involves reading 6 books from your local library over the summer. After finishing each book, you’ll rate your reads and collect stickers along the way, and once you complete the challenge, you’ll receive a medal for your achievement! At Preston, our school aim is "Love to Learn," and we truly value a love of reading - The Summer Reading Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to share a love of reading together by exploring new books and sharing reading recommendations.
To take part in this free challenge, you will need to visit your local library, who will provide each participant with an exciting booklet to track and rate their summer reads. Click the link to find out more information: Summer Reading Challenge
We cannot wait to hear about all the wonderful books you've read when we return to school in September, and see how many of you have completed this fantastic challenge.
Happy reading, everyone!
