Unit 4 STEM Day
On Monday, Unit 4 took part in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths) day, which was organised by The Royal Air Force Youth STEM. As part of the day, the children worked in teams to design and make a rocket. The children then tested their rockets to see the distance they could travel. Once tested, the children reflected and then improved their rockets, before completing the final testing.
The children worked collaboratively in their teams and used their knowledge to think like a scientist. It was a fantastic insight into what careers are available in the science and engineering sector and the kind of jobs children could explore in the future - a great example of our School Aims of Love to Learn and Ready for Work.
