Anti-Bullying Week

Respect

This week, children all across the school have been celebrating Anti-Bullying Week. This is a national campaign to raise awareness about the impact of bullying and how we can stand together to ensure everyone is being treated with kindness and respect.

Children have been reflecting on the importance of respect and how they can show this to others in lots of different ways, including kind words, kind hands, listening to each other and playing fair at playtimes and lunchtimes.

Children are empowered to understand what bullying is using the STOP acronym – bullying is Several Times On Purpose, and classes have discussed the best ways to help someone who is a victim of bullying.

Our Anti-Bullying approach is centred on respect and kindness, and teachers have been so pleased with the way that children of all ages have demonstrated this in their learning this week. This will help to prepare our children for life in 21st Century Britain and support them in being good citizens.
