Rotary Youth Speaks Competition
Last week, 3 children from Unit 4 took part in the Rotary Youth Speaks competition at Dartmouth Academy, where they gave a fantastic speech on the importance of internet safety. They each had a role to play; chairman, speaker and vote of thanks. The children showed their school value of respect to the other teams competing by listening carefully to their speeches. The children showed great teamwork throughout the preparation of their speech and during the competition. Public speaking is an important skill to learn, as it will prepare children for the workplace in the future by being able to speak to an audience as well as speaking to unfamiliar adults. Well done to Jack, Oliver and Isaac!
