Rowcroft Hospice Visit

Yesterday, the children in Livermead House, were delighted to welcome Debbie Shotton, from Rowcroft Hospice into their House assembly. Debbie explained to the children how it costs eleven million pounds every year to run the hospice. She explained to the children the different types of jobs and roles that work together to make sure patients, and their loved ones are looked after. Debbie also shared the importance of fundraising and how it makes a huge difference to Rowcroft Hospice. A big thank you to Jess and Levi, Livermead House Captains, for e-mailing Rowcroft to invite a representative into school and for coming up with the idea of holding a pre-loved book sale to raise money for the charity. The House Captains will email parents/carers soon providing further details! This assembly was a great example of how our children were thinking about the school aim of ‘Be Good Citizens,’ as they consider others and be positive citizens in our local community.
