Woodland Explorers Enrichment
Our new enrichment
We are fortunate to have started our new enrichment with two dry and mild days. We started our exploration of Cockington Woods by creating journey sticks: a way for the children to gather items to record different locations during our walk.
This week we decided we should find out more about the trees on our walk to Cockington. The children became detectives, looking closely at the features of fallen leaves to identify the trees they had come from. Without venturing far into Cockington, we discovered oak, hazel, holly, beech, rowan and sycamore.
