This half term, our school Reading for Pleasure theme is ‘Book Buddies’. ‘Book Buddies’ sessions are where each class has the opportunity to visit other classes from across the school to share their love of reading. In these sessions, children talk about their favourite books, find out about new books, read to one another, and share book recommendations. ‘Book Buddies’ is an informal and relaxed time to explore a variety of books with different genres and text types. It has been wonderful to see children come together from across the year groups to have Book Buddies sessions already – they have taken part in great book talk and are all looking forward to their next session.
