House Charities
As part of our ongoing commitment to our School Aim, 'Be A Good Citizen,' each House will now be supporting a local charity, carefully chosen by our very own House Captains. After thorough research, the House Captains selected causes that align with our School Values and address meaningful issues in our community. On Monday, they presented their chosen charities to the whole school in assembly, explaining the heartfelt reasons behind their decisions. We are excited to announce the chosen charities:
- Broadsands House: Therapy Dogs Nationwide – supporting emotional well-being through animal-assisted therapy.
- Meadfoot House: Torbay MenCap – promoting inclusion and providing essential support for individuals with learning disabilities.
- Goodrington House: Torbay Salvation Army – helping vulnerable individuals and families in need with food, shelter, and support services.
- Livermead House: Rowcroft Hospice – providing compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Next half term, the House Captains will be leading their Houses in planning potential fundraising events to support these charities. The Houses will show their School Value of Teamwork to raise awareness and make a real difference in the lives of those in need, further promoting our School Aim of 'Be A Good Citizen' across our school.
We are incredibly proud of our House Captains for showing such responsibility, leadership, and compassion. We look forward to seeing them in action and encourage everyone to get involved in supporting these worthy causes!
