Unit 3 Donation to Local Food Bank
Before Christmas, Unit 3 were challenged to sell smoothies and raise as much money as possible. Last week, as a unit, we gathered together to discuss the money we made and what to do with this. The children chose to use the money to buy food for a local food bank. Collectively, they raised an amazing £132.60 pure profit! Today, Reverend Pout and Anita from the Paignton Community Larder came to collect the food, which was bought from the profit. When the children saw the food they were amazed at how much their profit could buy.
"It makes me feel like a really good citizen."
"I feel good that we have helped loads of families."
"I was amazed that there was so much food!"
Reverend Pout and Anita were very grateful for all the donations, saying, "It has come just at the right time, thank you so much for all your hard work and community spirit."
