This week has been an exciting week in Unit 3 as the children have had the opportunity to bring their musical learning together for a performance to their parents. Throughout this Music Long Enquiry, our school aim of ‘Love to Learn’ has really shone through, as children relished the opportunity to bring all their knowledge of musical genres, structure and tempo together for a performance. The children performed the ‘Hoedown’ by singing, playing the glockenspiels, and incorporating choreographed moves which they had planned. Their audience (their parents) were really impressed by all the children involved, with one parent commenting on how happy and confident their child was when performing in front of a live audience. This Long Enquiry has been an excellent opportunity for our children to apply their school values; they have demonstrated incredible Determination to make their performance the best it could be, Teamwork in the way that they came together as a group to perform, and superb Creativity in the way that they then created their own compositions with what they learnt. Bravo Unit 3! You all did a fantastic job.
