Religious Education
Our RE Curriculum ensures that children have an awareness of different religions and worldviews and how this makes a difference to how people live by exploring their practices, beliefs and traditions. Our learning also promotes children’s tolerance and mutual respect as part of our diverse society.

Our RE Curriculum ensures that children are aware of people, cultures, faiths, and relationships within a diverse contemporary global community. We shall help our pupils to gain a coherent understanding of different religions and of religious and non-religious worldviews through the exploration of key questions.
Our RE curriculum also contributes to our children’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, as well as providing opportunities to explore British Values and building upon concepts taught through RSHE:
- Teaching tolerance of different cultures and understanding differences in beliefs.
- Showing respect whilst listening to, exploring and valuing differences and similarities between religious and non-religious beliefs.
- Understanding democracy/ individual liberty- that everyone has the right to follow their own religious preferences.
- Rule of law- that everyone has the right through the law to follow their own beliefs.
Our RE curriculum will help them to become good citizens, in a world consisting of many faiths and beliefs, within and beyond our locality.
