Pastoral Support

We ensure all children feel safe, valued and belong. Our goal is for each child to be happy, confident and ready for the day in a secure, caring environment.

Personal Development

Some children face greater challenges and need extra support. Our pastoral team offers consistent, caring guidance to our children and our families to ensure trust, stability and support. There are many circumstances that families face from time to time that can be challenging to deal with. Preston Primary School is committed to offering families support and guidance to help remove barriers to learning and to children’s well-being and confidence.

Our Pastoral Team

Every member of staff in the school building is responsible for providing pastoral care to our children and families. Your first port of call will be your child’s class teacher or you can contact a member of our Pastoral Team who are:

Jane Stead – SENDCo/Designated Safeguarding Lead

Lisa Shepherd – Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Lead

Sharon Jordain – SEND, Pastoral and Attendance Administrator

Our Pastoral Team can offer advice and support, signpost to other services and provide a friendly, discreet listening ear. If you would like to speak to one of the team, please email: pastoral@preston.torbay.sch.uk
