Early Years Foundation Stage  

GLD 

Good Level of Development (GLD) is a measure of a child’s attainment at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Phonics Screening  

The phonics screening check is a short individual assessment for all children in year 1 that helps schools identify if a child is making the expected progress in phonics, and that they are on track to become fluent readers who can enjoy reading for pleasure and for learning.

End of Key Stage 1 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) 

At the end of key stage 1 (KS1) children take assessments in reading, writing and maths.  End of key stage 1 (KS1) assessments became non-statutory from the academic year 2023 to 2024 hence there is no national average to compare school data.

Multiplication Tables Check  

The Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) is an online test that assesses a year 4 child's ability to recall their multiplication tables up to 12 x 12. The MTC is a statutory assessment in England and is taken by all year 4 pupils.  
School 2023 – 41% of pupils scored full marks (National average score 29%) average score 21.5 (National average score 20.2) 
School 2024 – 31% of pupils scored full marks (National average 29%) average score 19.1 (National average score 20.7) 

End of KS2 Statutory Assessment Tests (SATs) 

Key Stage 2 SATs test children's skills in maths, English reading and grammar, punctuation and spelling when they are at the end of year 6. There are also teacher assessments in writing.
