School Uniform
At Preston Primary School, we encourage the children to always take pride in wearing their school uniform. We find it gives the children a sense of belonging and unites us all behind a common identity. It also helps us to identify each other when we are out in the community.

The below information shares the expectations for uniform at Preston Primary School.
School Uniform
• V necked burgundy jumper/cardigan with the Preston Primary logo (available from Riviera Schooldays)
• Preston Primary School tie (available from Riviera Schooldays)
• Grey School Trousers/Shorts/Skirt/Pinafore dress
• White Shirt/Blouse with collar (no polo shirts)
• Grey/black Socks for boys
• Grey/white socks or grey/black tights for girls
• Black School Shoes (no trainers) no high heels or boots
• Burgundy/Red gingham dress for the Summer term
Note: Children may wear leadership badges that have been presented by the school as part of their uniform.
PE Kit
• Plain white full length t-shirt/polo shirt and school jumper or cardigan
• Plain black/navy blue shorts of appropriate length (during the colder months children can wear black or navy jogging bottoms or leggings)
• Plimsolls/Trainers
Years 1 to 6
Children come to school dressed in their correct PE kit on their allocated PE day. This will be communicated to you at the start of each term.
Foundation Stage
Children bring their full PE kit to school in a small bag which stays on their peg until required.
Additional items required
• Water bottle (all children)
• Book Bag for Foundation Stage and children in Key Stage 1 (available from Riviera Schooldays)
• Wellies for Foundation Stage and children in Key Stage 1 (for Woodland Camp)
• Waterproof Puddle Suit for Foundation Stage (for Woodland Camp and Mud Kitchen)
The school does not permit
- Jewellery except for one pair of studs
- Make-up including nail varnish/ polish
- Tattoos (including the transfer type)
- High or narrow heeled shoes
- Unconventional or dramatic hairstyles: added hair colours must be natural and subtle.
- Skirts and dresses that are significantly above the knee
- Elaborate hair accessories
Children who have shoulder length hair, or longer, are required to tie it back for health and safety reasons.
We encourage the children to take responsibility and look after their belongings. We ask that you ensure that all of your child’s clothes and belongings are clearly marked with their name.
