School Values
Our school culture is underpinned by six core values. They are Respect, Responsibility, Independence, Teamwork, Creativity and Determination.

These values guide us daily: informing our learning, driving our curiosity and inspiring us to be caring citizens within our community.

Respect
We teach the children that respect means being kind to everyone, the environment and the planet. If we can be respectful and kind to everyone around us and they do the same to us, together we will make the world a better place.

Responsibility
We teach children to take responsibility for themselves, their own choices and actions. Children are also taught to take responsibility for their own health - their physical, mental and emotional well being.

Independence
We teach children that when we work independently we learn to overcome obstacles by persevering and being resilient. In school we build resilience by celebrating mistakes as making mistakes is how we learn.

Teamwork
As part of teamwork, children are taught to work well with others, and value their views and opinions. We show effective teamwork by being reliable, punctual and prepared.

Creativity
We teach the children that creativity is having confidence in using your imagination in different situations and being able to share ideas and bring them to life.

Determination
We teach the children that determination means doing your best and never giving up. In life you need to take risks and its ok if things go wrong, that is part of life and how we get better. “Don’t give up.”
