Salvation Army Torbay Visit

Yesterday, the children in Goodrington House were delighted to welcome Matt, a Minister from The Salvation Army church in Torquay and Paignton. He explained how The Salvation Army supports children and families through parent-and-toddler groups, Christmas present appeals, and by supporting and caring for older people. Matt also explained that they have a food bank in Torquay, and they help and support homeless and vulnerable people in our community. A huge thank you to Nate and Evie, Goodrington House Captains, for emailing The Salvation Army to invite them into school and for suggesting the idea of holding a tabletop games event to raise money for their chosen charity. The House Captains will email parents/carers soon with more information!
