Unit 3 Geography Short Enquiry
Visitors from Brixham Fish Market

This week, Unit 3 had visitors from Brixham Fish Market. The purpose of the visit was to support the children’s learning of their Geography Short Enquiry for this half term: Why is the fishing trade important in Brixham?
They did a fabulous job explaining to the children the importance of fishing to Brixham and why Brixham is a world-famous fishing harbour. The session was excellent and the Unit 3 children asked creative questions that demonstrated a fantastic Love of Learning. The children also had the opportunity explore the careers in the fishing industry, and with our school aim of Ready for Work in mind, many children were quite surprised by the amount of people and professionals needed to keep the fishing industry in Brixham running, which was so inspiring for our children. Well done Unit 3 and thank you Adam and Barry for visiting us.
