Unit 4 Geography Trip

Love to Learn

April 2, 2025

Yesterday, Unit 4 had a Geography trip to Cockington, where the children participated in three workshops throughout the day, led by Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust’s Education Officers. In the first activity, the children used their knowledge of rivers to measure the river flow and the cross section of the river. In the second activity, the children took part in orienteering, where the children practised their map skills to find different points across the park. In their third activity, the children participated in team building activities, including working together to create a trail for others to follow. Throughout the day the children used their geographical skills which we have learnt in school to support them with the activities. The children were great representatives of our school throughout the day. This was a wonderful opportunity to enrich our Geography curriculum and our School Aim of Love to Learn.
