Year 3/4 Girls Football Tournament

Triumphant Teamwork

March 26, 2025

An excited group of Year 3/4 girls recently showcased their football skills in a thrilling tournament at the Devon FA Headquarters in Newton Abbot. Competing against three other schools, they played six intense matches, winning four, and demonstrating remarkable teamwork and sportsmanship. The girls were gracious in their wins and supportive of each other in their losses.

Their aim was to take the ball to goal, and they all did this well with the support of one another. They all impressed us with their skills - the goalkeepers made crucial saves, showing excellent reflexes and positioning; the strikers executed powerful and accurate shots, scoring remarkable goals; and the defenders intercepted passes and tackled opponents to regain possession. With strong performances from all players, overall the team secured an impressive 2nd place. This means that they qualify for the County finals in May!

Well done girls, everyone is incredibly proud of you. Your determination and camaraderie shone through, making it an unforgettable afternoon of football.
