House Assemblies
We are thrilled to announce the success of our House Captains’ first house assemblies! Each House Captain pair ran a house assembly with their house – Broadsands, Goodrington, Livermead or Meadfoot. During the assemblies, the House Captains spoke passionately about the meaning of being part of a house, highlighting our school value of teamwork, and describing a house as a supportive family we all belong to. Each set of House Captains then revealed the charities their house had chosen to support after researching causes important to the heart of Torbay. The House Captains encouraged the members of their house to share their ideas on how the house can fundraise for their chosen charity and the members were fantastic at thinking of a wealth of fundraising ideas. This house assembly showcased not only our school value of creativity but also our school aim: 'Be A Good Citizen’ by each house coming together to help their community. The House Captains are now excited to write to their chosen charities to share their ideas. Well done to all of our houses!
The chosen charities for each house are:
- Broadsands: Therapy Dogs Nationwide.
- Goodrington: Salvation Army Torbay.
- Livermead: Rowcroft Hospice.
- Meadfoot: Torbay Mencap.
