Autism Awareness Month
April is National Autism Awareness Month
You are invited to take part in our Autism Awareness Activities
Autism awareness promotes inclusion and self-determination for all and aspires to provide each autistic person the opportunity to achieve the highest possible quality of life. This year Autism Awareness campaigns are aiming to inspire a movement towards acceptance and inclusion where communities are encouraged to recognize and value the unique talents and gifts that autistic people have to offer.
At Preston Primary School we intend to play our part in achieving these goals by raising awareness and understanding of Autism through the following activities:

- Wednesday 28th March, 4:30 – 6pm Nest parent, family and friends invited to attend an Understanding Autism session.
- Thursday 19th April, 5 – 6:30pm Whole school parent, family and friends invited to attend an Understanding Autism session.
- Thursday 26th April from 3:30 Staff and families invited to a crafting weighted lap mat workshop.
